Call Sign: Lymington Harbour

Commercial Berthing

The harbour has sixteen pontoon berths for commercial fishing and angling charter boats up to 11m in length. We also have two berths for boats up to 7m which are reserved for operators of pleasure cruise trips.

A waiting list applies for applications for commercial berths. The waiting list is open to people who permanently reside within 11 miles of Lymington church and own or are the majority shareholder of the boat to be moored.

Berths are allocated from the waiting list in accordance with the Mooring Waiting List and Allocations Policy.

IMPORTANT: Applications must be in one name and are not transferable, i.e. joint applications are not permitted. Members of a mooring holder’s family, for example a spouse, partner or children, or a partner in boat ownership, are reminded that they have no rights to take over a mooring and must apply to join the waiting list providing they fulfil the application criteria.

IMPORTANT:  Mooring fees for dredged mid river fore and aft moorings and non-walk ashore berths do currently meet the cost of provision. In November 2022 Commissioners approved a budget whereby for each year from 2024 until 2031 (8 years), prices for these categories of moorings will be increased by 7.2% per annum plus the inflationary increase applied to all mooring fees.
